Ixonia – November 2023: Patrick Lubar was named the winner of the Next Generation Leadership award at the BizTimes Media’s Nonprofit Excellence Awards. This award was given to a for-profit, (under 40-year-old) executive who demonstrates leadership and significant contributions to single or multiple nonprofit organizations through active leadership on a board and/or strategic management/guidance.

Greg Larson, CEO of Ixonia Bank says, “Patrick has demonstrated outstanding initiative and commitment to investing back into the Milwaukee community, which has led to this well-deserved recognition. We are all extremely proud of him.”

Dozens of nominations were submitted for the program this year, and 27 finalists were named in 9 different categories. An overall winner in each category was announced on Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St. A complete list of finalists and their designated categories can be found at www.biztimes.com/npawards.

The Nonprofit Excellence Awards are designed to shine a light on the community impact of southeastern Wisconsin nonprofits. The program also salutes the work of for-profit organizations, executives and professionals who donate their time, talent, and treasure to community causes.

In addition to the awards themselves, the Nonprofit Excellence Awards program was highlighted by the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to philanthropists Ellen and Joe Checota, in recognition of their significant contributions to support the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College), the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
