Opening Accounts at Ixonia Bank
Ixonia Bank complies with the USA Patriot Act, a Federal law which requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that it uses to identify each person who opens an account.
What does this mean to you?
It means when you open any account at Ixonia Bank, you will need to provide a valid government photo ID, such as a driver’s license or a passport. In addition to presenting an ID, which the bank officials usually make a copy of, you also will need to provide additional information, such as your Social Security number, date of birth and your physical address.
- If you are applying for a joint account, we will need the co-applicant’s photo ID and additional information.
- For business accounts, Ixonia Bank will additionally need your Employer Identification Number (EIN) and a copy of your business license or Certificate of Incorporation. Depending on type of account, we also may ask you to provide the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
Original documents are usually required, and photocopies may not be acceptable. Please contact us or speak with an Ixonia Bank representative at any of our locations if you have any questions, or to verify what documents you need before applying in person.
In all cases, protection of our customers’ identity and confidentiality is our promise to you. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
