A Shred Event in September & Two Cybersecurity Education Events in October

Ixonia Bank is pleased to announce that it is hosting events this Fall to help reduce and prevent identity theft occurrences in its local communities.

SHRED EVENT

On Saturday, September 28, from 10AM until Noon, there will be a FREE Shred Event at the Bank’s Oconomowoc Summit location (1223 E Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc). Partnering with Shred-It Paper Shredding Service, individuals who take advantage of this event can further guard their personal information by safely disposing of confidential documents.  Bring up to 3 storage boxes (approximately 12”Wx16”Lx10”H in size) of documents such as utility or credit card statements, or outdated tax documents to be destroyed on-site.

CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS

We know many aspects of cybersecurity can be overwhelming, and so Ixonia Bank is hosting  a FREE Cybersecurity Awareness program that will help empower people to take the necessary steps to protect their information and money.  A representative from the Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection, will present information on how to recognize & prevent identity theft, how to spot the red flags of a scam, and what to do if affected by a data breach.  There will be two opportunities to attend a presentation:

  1. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 @ 3:00PM
    Shorehaven – Roehl Auditorium
    1306 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc
  2. Saturday, October 5, 2019 @ 10:00AM
    Ixonia Bank – Community Room
    W1046 Marietta Avenue, Ixonia
