Alex Fisher promoted to Assistant Vice President and obtains CFA Designation
June 2025: Ixonia Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Alex Fisher from Commercial Banking Officer to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Banking. Alex has also recently acquired his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute.
Alex joined Ixonia Bank in November 2022 and has previous experience in finance with Ailco Equipment Finance Group and, most recently, as a credit analyst at a large regional bank. As a Commercial Banking Officer, he focused on developing meaningful and trusting relationships with clients while offering insights and support to help plan, implement, and achieve goals.
“Throughout his time here, Alex has demonstrated a deep commitment to the growth and success of our commercial banking division at Ixonia Bank. He carries a strong understanding of his clients’ needs and provides thoughtful financial solutions that have strengthened our commercial portfolio and enhanced our client relationships,” states Patrick Lubar, First Vice President & Commercial Lender.
Alex adds, “My recent promotion to AVP marks 2.5 years of growth and education in commercial lending, and all of the support, opportunity, and knowledge I have received from my colleagues. It is also a testament to the strong growth of Ixonia Bank and the opportunity that the growth provides.”
Alex passed three exam levels that make up the CFA Program, with each level becoming increasingly complex to test the knowledge and skills of financial analysts. Altogether, Alex dedicated 18 months of hard work to fulfilling this achievement alongside his professional responsibilities and has now joined just 200,000 chartered financial analysts recognized globally.
“Achieving the CFA designation signifies my strong understanding of financial analysis and markets, as well as my commitment to education in the field. The CFA lends credibility to my understanding and ability at this early stage of my career,” says Alex.
Alex graduated from UW-Madison with majors in Finance, Real Estate, and Risk Management at the Wisconsin School of Business in 2022. He enjoys volunteering in the community, including previous experience with Habitat for Humanity and Bridges to Community.
Alex is based out of the Bank’s Milwaukee Office located at 611 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
