Dan Westrope

Chairman & CEO

With over 35 years in the banking industry, Dan Westrope’s background and knowledge of banking helps lead Ixonia Bank’s professional team of bankers to meet the needs and objectives of their customers and the communities that they serve. Prior to joining Ixonia Bank, Dan held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bancshares, Inc. in Bettendorf, Iowa. Previously, he had been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of State Financial Services Corporation and State Financial Bank, both located in the Milwaukee area; and Howe Barnes Investments in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Business Degree.

Mark Wierman

Mark Wierman joined Ixonia Bank in September 2014 as its Chief Lending Officer and was promoted to President in December 2017. With nearly 35 years of banking experience, Mark is primarily responsible for the Bank’s commercial and consumer lending and new business development efforts, as well as overseeing the retail and operational areas of the Bank. Prior to joining Ixonia Bank, Mark held senior leadership positions with other local banks including Associated Bank and LaSalle Bank. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Business Administration – Finance.

Mark is active in several local organizations including serving on the boards of Tall Pines Conservancy, Ausblick Ski Hill, Gethsemane United Methodist Church and on the Finance Committee at the YMCA at Pabst Farms. Mark is also currently serving on the board of the Wisconsin Bankers Association. Mark and his wife reside in the Oconomowoc area and have three adult daughters and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoors activities including boating, skiing, golfing and fishing.

Senior Vice President - Commercial Banking

Dennis Sampson joined Ixonia Bank in June 2017 as Senior Lender. Dennis brings over 30 years of commercial banking experience and leads the Bank’s commercial lending group’s growth and the Bank’s continuing focus on providing a high level of service and responsiveness. Prior to joining Ixonia Bank, Dennis was Executive Vice President at First Business Bank where he worked exclusively with business clients for nearly 20 years. Dennis is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he earned a Bachelor of Science.

Dennis has been active throughout his career in the community serving in leadership positions on several boards and service clubs in addition to coaching baseball and soccer for many years. Dennis is currently serving on the board of Middleton Glen and as commissioner of a local lake management district. Dennis resides in Oconomowoc with his wife and youngest son.

Senior Vice President – Commercial Banking

Douglas A Ortyn has more than 30 years of commercial banking leadership experience and has always been passionate about leading his teams to deliver an unparalleled banking experience for clients. Doug began his career with American National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago where he managed commercial banking for the Milwaukee region. Before joining Ixonia Bank, Doug managed TCF National Bank’s Corporate Banking teams in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. Doug is responsible for the Milwaukee middle market commercial banking region for Ixonia Bank.

Doug graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Administration. Doug lives near Port Washington with his wife and two children where they enjoy sailing on Lake Michigan.


Wendy Sowinski

Senior Vice President – Commercial Banking

Wendy Sowinski joined Ixonia Bank in December 2013 as Vice President of Business Banking prior to being promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking in 2018. In addition to commercial lending, Wendy leads Ixonia Bank’s expanding Treasury Management program in order to provide the bank’s commercial clients with the services needed to optimize the total banking experience and aid in a growing company's success. She has been in the banking industry for over 20 years and worked as a Relationship Manager for a large Regional Bank prior to joining the organization. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and has held multiple licenses and certifications throughout her career in banking.

Wendy is actively involved in the community through volunteer work with The Joseph Project, serves on the Advisory Board for SCORE SE Wisconsin, and is a member of the SBA Awards Steering Committee. Wendy lives in Oconomowoc where she and her husband have raised 5 children. Outside of the office Wendy enjoys camping, boating and spending time outdoors.

Tom Pasch

Vice President – Commercial Banking

Tom Pasch joined Ixonia Bank in December 2014 as Vice President of Business Banking. Tom, who studied Business Finance at Brown College in Minnesota, helps develop and maintain relationships with businesses in the areas of commercial and industrial lending, as well as commercial real estate.  He is a firm believer in developing simple and honest relationships with his business customers, and enjoys getting to know the "people" behind the business. Prior to joining the bank, Tom worked as a Business Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo.

Tom, along with his wife and four young daughters, currently reside in Watertown. An active community member, he serves as President-Elect for the Watertown Rotary and Congregation President of St. John's Church & School in Watertown.  He is also a member of the Watertown American Legion, Yes! Watertown, and the Izzak Walton Conservation Club. When he has spare time, he enjoys golf, hunting and the outdoors, and spending time with his family.


Patrick Lubar

Commercial Banking Officer

Patrick Lubar joined Ixonia Bank in 2017 and spent two years underwriting business customers as a Credit Analyst prior to joining the lending team as a Commercial Banking Officer. His focus is on developing meaningful and trusting relationships with clients while offering insights and support to help plan, implement, and achieve goals. Working with customers primarily in the Milwaukee market, Patrick has experience in commercial and industrial lending, as well as commercial real estate. He graduated from the UW-Madison Grainger School of Business. Previous experience includes roles at PNC Bank and Harley-Davidson.

Patrick lives in Downtown Milwaukee where he’s an active member of the community, serving on the Finance Committee of Radio Milwaukee, as well as the Menominee Valley Advisory Committee for the Urban Ecology Center. He enjoys camping, skiing, and supporting Wisconsin sports.
